Hiromi has a birthday August 8, 2013

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
HIROMI
A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS
FOR THE PRETTY LADY

It sounds like you have had the beginning of a nice birthday week in the family trip you and your family just took. It wasn't too many years ago that we were camping with the entire family. I was just looking at pictures from the trip we took to the Spokane area. Elica was not much over a year old. That was the time Grandpa almost burned his whiskers, but also made a big pot of stew that was so scrumptious it had gotten eaten within minutes. I see from your pictures that you camped near a river. That was always the prerequisite for our camping trips.  These trips have provided delightful memories and will remain in our thoughts forever, even the mosquitoes and why it was that Grandpa never got bitten.

Well I was thinking what would be a good topic to discuss on your birthday blog card and came up with a thought. The Navigator. You are the Navigator. What is a navigator. Well it's not a gator from the swamps (tee hee) but it is a skilled technician.
A navigator identifies current location and provides guidance from one location to another. Whether directing a sea-going vessel across the ocean, an airliner through the skies or a patient through treatment options, (or a family through life) a navigator carries the responsibility for getting his charge safely to the appropriate destination.

Come to think of it, doesn't a mother fill those requirements. I would definitely say, “Yes.”

Who holds the map and gives directions as to when and where to turn when traveling on family vacations? Who makes the flight plans for your Japanese trips? Who plans the hotels and places you will be staying?Who is on the computer arranging for all this.
Who pulls Gary along when he needs a nudge? Who pushes him when he needs a push? Kind of like pushing a bull! eh.

Who helps guide Elica and Shogo through their haunted caves and wave-tossed oceans of life and bridges a knowledge of two countries.

Who makes home a Haven?
and navigable?  It's who?
Who?  Hiromi, that's who.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIROMI
LOVE YOU, MOM AND DAD STARR

Here's a video dedicated to you; remind Gary he's the captain,
but you're the navigator!
