BRENT AND STEFANIE HAVE AN
ANNIVERSARY TODAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2012
A long time ago two people met, fell in love and were married. There is a little more to the story and to listen to either Brent or Stefanie describe the events leading to their meeting is very interesting.
I do recall that Bishop Ellis, bishop of the singles' ward they were attending suggested Brent meet a particular young lady in the ward, and that young lady was Stefanie. Was it love at first sight or not, I don't know, but it wasn't long before they were engaged and soon married.
One thing I do recall is Brent's determination during their courtship. It was at the fair that this particular incident took place. A demonstration was going on with
snakes, boa constrictors for one.
Richelle's boys held a big yellow boa and Stefanie held one, I'm not sure what kind she held(check the picture). Brent, even though he didn't want to and it was very evident he didn't, but with everyone coaxing him and Stefanie eyeing him, he finally did. So that must have earned him a few points!

And I do recall there was some concern about the day they had selected to be married. It turned out to be on Friday the 13. They weren't disturbed about it. This was the best day considering all the variables going on in their lives.
They were married in the Seattle Temple. Carol and Maxine drove up from Utah. Carol's granddaughter Heather who was living in Marysville, Washington came, especially to see her grandmother and all three came to the temple ceremony. Lots of Brent's relatives came and friends from the 7th and 8th wards and Othello. Sandra Chudy, Lanny's sister also was there. I think she has attended every wedding we have had in our family. She's a trooper and very helpful at any
event.
Early the morning of the wedding was hectic. Richelle did her magic on Stefanie's hair and it looked very classy. Gary, Hiromi and Elica were there, and Lanny was getting a little irked with me and the camera. Check out his response in the picture. These are the moments you don't want to miss.
Miraculously we all arrived safely and soundly at the Seattle Temple and the wedding went off without much difficulty.
Sixteen years have gone by and if you were to enter the home of Brent and Stefanie you would find lots of happy sounds and playful activity coming from the eight children who have blessed their home. There's football, dancing, music,
chalkboard talk on 1,2,3's and ABC's, chore duties and everything it takes to make a happy family.
Love, Mom and Dad
