Twinkle and Binkle, The Starr News: DECEMBER 20, 2012 IS LANNY AND ARLENE STARR'S 45TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

It's been 45 years since we took the big leap into married life, and it's been a work in progress. We are still growing and learning about each other. He thinks he knows me, well I don't even know myself entirely. I'm still learning. I think I know him, but he continues to surprise me.

We started out on a blind date as most of you know and ended up here in Moses Lake. That didn't happen in a day or a year, but it took five years before we took the leap to another state and settled in a town that was nothing like what we left, especially when you consider the mountain ranges. The surrounding mountains were like a security blanket for me, a landmark of sorts of north, south, east and west, and they provided awesome scenery during all four seasons of the year.

We grew to love Moses Lake over the next forty years even with its different geography.
