Alexander Montgomery G has a birthday December 8, 2013

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
ALEXANDER

Meet Alexander.  He is a pretty unique individual and is like a potpourri of many interests and talents.  One may say he is also a "treasure box" of silver and gold.

In the beginning when he was little Alexander, the baby, he could make you laugh without making a sound.  He would just look at you in this elfish and unassertive way and then grin and turn his head, and invariably it would make you laugh.  He knew that he was getting a response so he would do it again.  His, was a look and grin he alone could make, very sober but compelling and there would be a sparkle in his eyes.  He gave me many hours of pleasurable giggles.

Next on the list of "Who is Alex?" is that he was a child who did not like to read in the beginning. But I have later found that he has read Eragon and is reading Brisingr.  Eragon is not a small book.  Alexander Montgomery likes his name.  Alexander is a good name, one that belongs to several of our ancestors, one in particular is Alexander Baird.

 

Alexander played T-Ball and soccer when he was younger.  He has taken karate for years and has become good at it, although it isn't his favorite thing to do he claims, but he continues and will most likely master one of the top belts.  He is wearing a brown belt now.  This is an older picture of him with the yellow belt.

He likes to draw, especially dragons, and is also good at it.  He has won some exceptional ribbons at the fair for his work.  He painted this dragon using toothpicks as well as brushes. You can see where he used toothpicks (check out the detail in the tail especially).

 He likes to tease and he is teased a lot by his brothers, grandfather, and his two little cousins Lucy and Cumorah, and step-niece and nephews Addison, Levi and Max.  His Aunt Angie enjoys his company on the trampoline, playing chess, other board games, computer games, and outside games. Who wins at chess, I'm not sure. Also there are his older cousins who challenge him to Nintendo or other computer games and outside games.

Alex as well as his brothers, cousins, parents, grandpa and others love the Seahawks, Washington's Football team, who are doing exceptionally well this year.  They have a little magic in their plays and are playing as a team, like a well-oiled machine, making plays that even a non-football fan may enjoy.  "Go Seahawks, Go!"

Alex is a peacemaker.  He would rather get along than stir the pot until it bubbles over with arguments and fights.  But be assured, he can push back when necessary.

He began taking guitar lessons a few years ago and found that he really liked it so continued.  Because there were too many guitarists in the High School Band and the trombone was available, he began playing that too.

 He was honored as "Student of the Month" in music not too long ago. Congrats.

He likes to go fishing with his family (his step-father, Larry, is an avid outdoor's man and he and Richelle take the boys camping and fishing every year). On one expedition, Alexander was the first to catch a fish (lucky catch).  He also likes to looks at rocks, find turtles, and explore the campground area when camping.  He is usually the first to find the beehives for me around the garden and house.

He loves cheese burgers and fries!   There are other things people find interesting about Alex but this is a good beginning.  One other thing I should mention is that he has a gripping sense of humor.

INTRODUCING...

Aunt Angie wrote a poem for Alexander and it goes like this:

Al is a pal,

He is liked by the gals.

When he's older he shall,

Find a gal of his own.

But for now he will play,

The guitar everyday.

Then he'll learn to serenade

Her over the phone.

And everyone will say,

I wish I knew him when,

He was just 15.

With a heart that is true,

Is someone I wish

 Back then that I knew.

Al is a pal,

You will want then and now.

Who will play his guitar to the end.
