Aleksandr Damian has a birthday December 22, 2013

DAMIAN STARR

Happy Birthday Damian.  We wish you a very Happy Birthday with lots of family, fun and goodies.

We wrote you a little story about the big white Christmas bear.  Have your mom read it to you.  It is just a pretend story and we hope you have fun listening to it.

CHRISTMAS BEAR (by Arlene Starr)

Christmas is coming, there's music in the air,
Christmas is coming, it's time for Christmas Bear,
Who is a Christmas Bear!  What will he bring?
He brings snow stockings and will dance and sing,
Sing what! cries the children full of Christmas glee,
He sings a Christmas lullaby for you and for me.
Stockings, dancing, and singing, why that is absurd,
It is the silliest thing that we ever have heard.
What does he do with the stockings of snow?
Hangs them on door knobs, they glitter and glow.
And then with a curtsy and great big bear bow,
He jumps from the porch and roars a big growl....
Look! . . . to our wondering eyes does appear,
In a ball of white snow, the white bear so dear.
He slides over the ice and soon comes to a stop,
He slides and then stops at the corner of Claus shop.
The door opens wide and a kind woman steps out,
She steps up to the bear and pats his soft snout.
He smiles a big smile and makes a soft sound,
He winks at the children then twirls around.
Spinning faster and faster 'til he looks like a blob,
Around and around he goes 'til he is one big glob.
Slowly he grows antlers and a big bright red nose,

He looks like Rudolph from his legs to his tip toes.
Soon there arose from the snow covered ground,
A big sled with runners of a bright golden brown.

The children are stunned, standing there like a tree,
Big Christmas bear-deer with his sled they do see.

Can we ride in your sleigh, Mr. Bear they all said,
The bear turns to them and shakes his deer head.
Up steps all the children, one by one they all go,
And sit on the big seats as the bear sings ho ho.
Bear begins to move slowly then picking up speed,
Damian and all the others are oh so very pleased.
And away glides the sleigh through new falling snow,
Joyfully sing the children as the sunlight cast its glow.
Giving a luster of midday as they travel along the way.
What fun the children have in the one-bear open sleigh.
But alas the day is drawing nigh, the sun is getting low,
It's time for Mr. Bear to turn the sleigh around and go,
Back to the children's homes and folks who now do wait,
The children feel so sad, but know they must not be late.
Home they do return, and down off the sleigh they slide,
Thinking all the while upon their wondrous sleigh ride.
Mr. Bear gives a nod, turns, and on his face a grin,
He gives each child a loving nudge upon their chin.

And with a wiggling of his nose and a winking of his eye,
Big white Bear goes off into the night nodding a goodbye.
And we hear him exclaim as he disappears from our sight,

Look in your stockings tomorrow, and to all a goodnight.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAMIAN
LOVE YOU, GREAT GRANDPA AND GRANDMA STARR
